Due to COVID-19 and its implications to in-person group meetings, we have proactively decided to transition this summer's institute to an online platform.
As a result of this transition, we are drastically reducing costs in an effort to continue accommodating students from all economic backgrounds.
With the increased need to social distance, online communication may seem like a daunting option for summer camps. However, attending an online debate camp provides campers with skills they will need for their upcoming years as a debater. Online debate is becoming very prevalent, and may continue to occur in the Fall due to COVID-19. Attending camp over the summer will assist students in learning how to navigate debate functions in an online environment, which will be a huge benefit for those who attend.
We understand that this is a troubling time, and we are here to help. Please contact us at debategmu @ gmail if you have any questions or concerns.
The GMDI remains committed to affordable pricing whether you attend our online camp or middle school camp.
All of our labs will have a maximum student to faculty ratio of 8:1, allowing us more time for individualized instruction.
We have options for students at every level of debate; with a faculty that specializes not only in Varsity debate, but also entry-level.
The GMDI has a staff trained in online teaching platforms. Several members are also experienced in various forms of technology to ensure an excellent experience for our students.
We understand sending your child to any camp can be overwhelming, all of our staff receive university background checks and training before being hired.
We have updated our lab times to begin at 10:00 AM EST to allow for students from all regions in the United States to feasibly attend an East Coast synchronous camp.
